How do you MM?
Nothing is more satisfying than having your minions rip apart your enemies. For me it's all about 10 Fiends and [Order of Undeath]. How about you guys?

Well i use [Aura of the Lich] for higher minion levels with an animate bone minion to soak up the dmg. Or i take Jagged bones with splinter weapon + ancestor's rage. (minions + splinter rocks 2!). Dont forget the death nova .
It would be nice though to finally introduce a minion list for jagged bones + deathnova. B

To be honest, I find playing MM rather a bit boring. It's very effective in most area's but I prefer letting Olias do it because of said reason. In PvE I let him use a [Jagged Bones] build and in Jade Quarry I see people use [Aura Of The Lich] pretty effectively.
But if you play in HM, ele bosses and RoJ monks tend to wipe out all minions in like 3 seconds so I've moved away from using pure MM builds.

First, RoJ monks are really scarce, if I remember right the only type monks who carry it are the Afflicted. Second, I actually want my minions to soak up the damage. It's even better when they take high numbers, like those ele bosses that you've mentioned before. Better them than my party members and me, they're called Meat Shields for a reason

How do I MM?
How do I MM? Well I just hooked Xandra up with [skill]Aura of the Lich[/skill], [skill]Boon of creation[/skill] and [skill]Explosive Growth[/skill]. [skill]Boon of creation[/skill] pretty much restores her energy and heals her and [skill]Explosive Growth[/skill] creates a damage spike if she uses [skill]Aura of the Lich[/skill] in a fight. [skill]Spirit's Gift[/skill] acts as a party heal and mass condition removal too. When i get around to hooking her up with a spawning power rune she will make mini meat mountains For the rest I might bring a hard res, Death Nova and Taste of death or another minion spell.

If I'm giving a MM build to a hero, it's a [Jagged Bones] minion bomber.
If I'm running a MM build, it's [Order of Undeath] with Vampiric Horrors and either Bone Fiends or Bone Horrors.

imo just don't MM ,let the hero do all the work, they are better at managing an minion army than a human player.

No, they're only better at casting Death Nova on lots of minions.

They can't run Order of Undeath very well. In fact, they're terrible at it.
A good OoU human > Hero MB.

Your own inability to run a bar correctly is no reason to dismiss it as inferior to another bar run by a hero.
OoU takes a bit of practice and skill to run properly, whereas sticking a MB bar on a hero takes nothing. The result with OoU however, is greater than anything the hero can do.

Minions Bombers belong onto Heroes, and OoU is on humans. OoU is generally better than MB, except in areas with minimum corpses, then MB has its merits.
Ooh and Never use [order of [email protected]] + [animate bone [email protected]] instead of [order of [email protected]] + [animate bone [email protected]]. The difference can be as much as 340 damage!

Maintaining an army of 10 Fiends is near impossible. It can, just about be done, but is basically impossible in HM. Besides, an army of 10 fiends is extremely fragile and will likely be destroyed by a single elementalist.
Bone horrors do less damage, but are more durable and much cheaper (you have a net energy gain with Soul Reaping).
If you can, run an army of Vampiric Horrors and Bone Fiends at a 5:5 ish split.
However, due to the energy demands, I frequently run horrors over fiends.

I'm going to have to challenge that. I do it all the time. Yes ele can rip them apart, but a war or derv to grab their attention first fixes that. I've never used Vamp Horrors (no Facs) and for fiends energy use [GoLE].
BTW the pic I included on the first post is in HM.
